ToggleWhat is Linear Finance?
The correlation between traditional assets like stocks and commodities and the crypto space has been increasing in recent times. Linear Finance is an Ethereum-based protocol that enables investors to trade derivatives of different ranges of assets using the native token of the platform, LINA, and LUSD.
The platform aims to offer a seamless combination of traditional assets with crypto offering a superior experience with better scalability and greater speed. It achieves the goal through its ‘Liquids’ or Linear Synthetic asset tokens which represent different asset classes. The cross-chain capabilities of the platform are the core which is backed by the Ethereum and the partner chain networks.
The Linear ecosystem is backed by the native token LINA which is designed to address the primary use cases including staking, governance, liquidity mining, transactional payments, and investing in the platforms ‘Liquids’ which are the synthetic assets created in the Linear Exchange.

How Does Linear Finance Work?
The platform enables the users to mint and trade different synthetic assets which are based on actual financial assets which are over-collateralized by the LUSD stablecoin. This ensures the system’s viability which doesn’t break in times of extreme volatility including the black swan events. The network is made up of different protocols and the Buildr DApp, the core component holds the protocol together.
The users can stake the native token LINA to mint the platform’s stablecoin LUSD which allows the users to trade the liquids. The users can further lock LUSD into the vault and earn interest which is paid in LUSD, BUSD, and LINA.

Linear Finance Price Analysis
Source: TradingView
- The LINA price has been trading below the crucial levels at 200-day MA for quite a long time and the recent upswing that began at the start of 2023, lifted the price above these levels
- However, the price has been rejected a couple of times and has formed a double top pattern which is considered as bearish
- The price is undergoing an acute bearish trend that may compel the price to slice through the interim resistance at $0.009 and test the 200-day MA levels for the third time
- The LINA price could ignite a rebound here, but if failed, the levels may drag below the crucial support zone and head towards the major support below $0.005
- However, it appears unlikely, as the RSI is approaching the oversold levels and may rebound, flipping the bearish trend at the lower support zone between $0.0062 and $0.0067
