Interaction in Web3 is still a process that the community is learning with every passing day, as an attempt to solve that existing issue, Brave; which is a full-featured browser for the mobile, has the ability to introduce a space that can explore and connect to DApps, as opposed to the current scattered practice of wallet apps with limited browser functions. Moving ahead with improvements for the Web3 browsing space, after working towards adding the support for Proof of Stake protocols last year, developers at Brave announced on Tuesday that they are also adding support for Solana dApps on the browser!
.@Solana DApp support is now available on Brave for iOS and Android!
In addition to storing, sending, and buying SPL tokens in the wallet, you can now also connect and interact with apps like @MagicEden, @Orca_so, and @JupiterExchange, right in your browser app.

The organisation announced about the mobile integration on Twitter while also stating that the users will now be able to connect with Solana NFT marketplaces Magic Eden and crypto exchanges like Orca and Jupiter Exchange! Head of Partnerships at Solana Foundation, Amelia Daly said, “User experience can be very fragmented in crypto. The Brave DApp integration is important because it allows for seamless browser-based connections to your favorite Solana programs and it is optimized for mobile. Advances in UX and mobile are among the most important ways to onboard new users.”
The joint project for a simpler Web3 between Brave and Solana has been a longtime happening. Back in November 2021, Brave expanded its support from Ethereum to Solana for the faster transaction speed of the network and its low cost as compared to the crypto giant, Ethereum. The network was yet to complete its Merge and transition to a Proof of Stake consensus from a Proof of Work consensus.
The Web3 browser says that the mobile integration is working with the aim to add more protection and negate the need for users to jump between different apps to sign transactions. However, Brave do have competition from other browsers who are working towards integrating blockchain features. The top competitor for Brave, Opera has had a head start in this domain. They had added a crypto wallet and decentralized application explorer to its Android mobile browser back in 2018, and soon integrated in within iOS by 2019. Opera also worked towards being the first browser to add native support for Unstoppable Domains in 2021. Nevertheless, Brave has been up for the challenge, even though Opera had a head start.

Brendan Eich, the CEO and co-founder of Brave, in a statement said that “Brave is increasingly the browser of choice for the Web3 world, and with the addition of Solana DApp support on mobile, we’re expanding that reach to another key group that is seeking fast and friendly ways to use their crypto on the go.”
