Polygon Network has finally released ID Product based on Zero Knowledge Technology
After months of development, the Polygon Network has finally launched its zero-knowledge privacy protocol. This new feature will allow users to transact and interact with each other without revealing any personal information.

The recent events in the crypto space has been dominant of Ethereum and Polygon, for the upgrades that the Ethereum network is building for itself and the various partnerships along with innovations that Polygon is building for the crypto community. With Ethereum Shanghai testnet going live earlier this week, on Wednesday Polygon announced that they have launched a new Polygon ID product that is based on the Zero-Knowledge (ZK) technology which will be allowing the users to verify their identities or their credentials without the need to reveal the sensitive information.

According to the announcement blog, with the launch of this Polygon ID tool, the developers are one step closer to solving the problem of digital trust. As a Layer 2 solution, the Polygon network is known for its work in providing scaling systems for the Ethereum blockchain, which also includes the popular Polygon PoS sidechain. As per the company announcement, this new Polygon ID “toolset can be used by developers to unlock features such as an enhanced signup user interface, assist in regulatory compliance, help verify user identities and restrict access control to certain areas or features via token-gating.”
David Schwartz, the co founder commented, “Providing identity in a way that the average consumer can use is the holy grail of digital ID adoption. No other identity solution has been able to provide the scalability needed for mainstream adoption leveraging ZK technology until now.”
- Verifications are easier. The unique ZK-Query language will be able to make elaborate proofs like “I’m older than 18 and a citizen of the U.K.” possible.
- Web3 meeting the real world credentials; as users can generate zk proofs using off-chain credentials to interact with smart contracts.
- Better user experience as there is an advantage of passwordless login that will keep the hackers at bay.
- Compliant product that keeps us with the best security. The developers can leverage the zero-knowledge technology within their existing compliance processes. It will work without sacrificing user privacy.
Did You Know? According to the Polygon website, there is a Polygon ID wallet app and wallet software development kit or SDK.
