Top Crypto News Weekly WrapUp: ETH mainnet Shadow fork goes live
In this week’s crypto news wrap-up, Slovenia has unveiled a plan for flat taxation on crypto transactions. The government has also requested the Slovenian parliament to move up this step quickly. According to reports, the tax shall be effective at a rate under 5%.
Another important venture from the environmental front of the Crypto industry occurred this week. Jack Dorsey’s Block and Adam Back’s Blockstream are together creating a pilot mine in Texas where solar installation batteries shall be used for powering the entire mining process.
The past weeks saw Luna Foundation Guard (LFG) creating a reserve protocol for stablecoin UST. It has recently added $173 million in Bitcoin to its wallet over the weekend through a series of buying. Currently, LFG holds 39,897.98 Bitcoins in its wallet with the current value standing at $1.67 billion.
This week finally saw a positive movement in Ethereum’s plan of taking the entire blockchain system to proof-of-stake. The first mainnet shadow fork of Ethereum went live.
